We are happy to announce a new addition to the AXIS Education Summit: the fourth annual EdTech Summit Africa conference.
EdTech Summit Africa is a professional development conference where educators learn to implement creative and cutting-edge technology in schools and communities. A global travel team of presenters (including African education professionals) work together to deliver high quality, hands-on experiential workshops for pre-service and in-service teachers and school leaders. The EdTech production team also organizes random giveaways, social media contests, and other incentive programs in order to leave as much usable technology in the hands of our attendees. Their giveaways have ranged from video and document cameras to science equipment to tablets and laptops. After the conference, attendees are invited to join a professional online learning network that keeps attendees affiliated in the months that follow. New in-person meet-ups will also be co-constructed for 2016-2017.
The EdTech Summit Team believes that when we expose motivated teachers to thoughtful technology training, they can cross generations of barriers to bring excitement, innovation and measurable learning experiences into their classrooms.
EdTech Summit Africa will run concurrently with AXIS Education Summit on July 12, before moving throughout South Africa, Swaziland, and Ghana. For a full list of Summit venues, visit the EdTech Summit Africa webpage.
The GTI encourages and invites all educators to attend. Register for the conference by clicking here.
