GTI Axis Summit

The annual GTI Axis Summit is designed as a community of practice, where all voices are valued, encouraged to participate, and where every attendee can make a meaningful contribution. A place where everyone is an expert, and experienced practitioners and novices share and contribute to growing everyone’s body of knowledge.

"It is in your hands, to make a better world for all who live in it."

Nelson Mandela

Our Summit is scheduled to take place on the 4th and 5th of July 2024 in Johannesburg. This year marks our 7th annual summit, and it promises to be a transformative experience under the theme: “Lead from Any Chair.”

The Axis Education Summit is a pinnacle event that annually gathers educators, teacher interns, school leaders, and key stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, we have formed a community for pioneering discussions and transformative ideas in education.

Inspired by Ben Zander’s innovative approach to leadership, the 2024 Summit will redefine the essence of leadership in education emphasizing that leadership potential exists in every role.  We aim to inspire all participants to recognize and harness their capabilities to effect change, thus driving the transformation of educational practices and outcomes on a global scale.

The event will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking sessions, all designed to equip participants with practical insights and tools to implement the theme of leadership from any position within their own contexts.

An event of this nature will create a platform for various actors involved in education to come together and address one of the most important challenges of our time – transformative education. We will bring various education stakeholders to discuss and commit to re-imagine education, teacher education and teaching and learning in the 21st century.
